Added a V.1.1 version of the demo that addresses feedback, as well as some bugfixes!
- Fixed zipping on the tank
- Improved walljumping controls
- Changed a couple rough spots in the levels
- Made helper activation clearer ;)
- Added bad emulator checks
- A few small bugfixes

Special Ninja Squad - a brand new game for the PC Engine/Turbografx-16
In the distant year of 203X, the Evil Syndicate has taken over control of the world. As the Special Ninja Squad's most promising ninja, can you take down the Syndicate and restore peace to the world?
After 1 and a half years, the wait is finally over. The demo version is finally here! Can you clear the first two stages of the newest PC Engine release from FG Software? Better sharpen that katana - you will need it!
Full game releasing in 2026!
For use with the PC Engine, Turbografx-16, or compatible emulators. This demo is provided free of charge. If you need help on how to destroy the Evil Syndicate, check out the enclosed instruction book (Available in English, French, and Japanese).
Have fun, and try and get a high score :D

Ajouté la version V.1.1 de la démo où j'ai amélioré plusieurs choses en fonction de vos retours, et aussi fixé quelques bugs.
- Fixé une instance de mouvement erroné sur le tank
- Amélioré les contrôles de saut mural
- Amélioré certaines parties des niveaux
- Rendu l'activation des esprits plus compréhensible :)
- Rajouté un check de mauvais émulateurs
- Fixé plusieurs autres bugs
En espérant que la prochaine ROM soit la ROM final! :D - On se reverra en 2026

Special Ninja Squad - Un nouveau jeu pour votre PC Engine
En la lointaine année 203X, le Syndicat du Mal a pris le contrôle du monde. En tant que le ninja le plus prometteur du Commando Ninja Spécial, êtes-vous capables d'anéantir le Syndicat et de ramener à nouveau la paix dans le monde?
Un an et demi après l'avoir commencé, l'attente est enfin terminée. La version démo du jeu est enfin disponible! Arriverez-vous à terminer les deux premiers niveaux du tout dernier jeu de FG Software sur PC Engine? Mieux vaut aiguiser votre katana - vous en aurez besoin!

Awesome game with great graphics and an excellent sound. The controls are also very precise, although the boss fights are difficult to master. The game already seems like one of the best on this system. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 04:05:35. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
Very cool. Any chance that you get in touch with PCE Works for a physical release?
I am planning to make physical versions myself, collaborating with hardware creators that do not make unauthorised reproductions of copyrighted work ;)

By the way, what emulator were you using? It seems to be having a lot of issues with decompressing the graphics - I might want to reach out to the devs
I use Turbo Engine.
Thanks! I'll look it up and reach out to the devs to fix it if possible. In the meantime, I recommend MESEN :)
EDIT: Sadly it seems like it hasn't been updated in a long while. Might be a bit difficult to get a fix for that specific emulator

Woaw bravo, c'est excellent, un homebrew sur PCEngine c'est tellement rare en plus !!! J'adore le style on dirais un jeu PRO sans mentir :)
Juste un petit détail toutefois, j'ai l'impression que l'allonge du coup de sabre est un peu courte, ça fait un peu étriqué, trop proche du ninja, je pense que el jeu gagnerait en design et jouabilité si le coup de sabre etait plus large, avec un effet incliné, à la ninja gaiden ... mais je suppose que c'est un choix technique d'affichage de sprite, peut etre que un sabre qui frappe plus loint impliquerait d'afficher un sprite destiné a cet effet par dessus le ninja lui même ...

A priori, changer la portée du katana ne devrait pas être trop difficile. Je vais probablement faire quelques ajustements une fois que j'aurai plus de deux niveaux dans le jeu et j'en tiendrai compte :D

Wow. What a great demo. Finally a decent PC-Engine action game in commercial release quality. Very fair balanced gameplay. How many levels can we expect in 2026?
12 or 14 depending on how much I can manage to cram in the ROM :D
